Trained psychologist Julika Loma founded Pixel Story Studio 2006 in San Diego. After living in Germany and the US and focusing on all aspects of X and Y she now lives in Amsterdam together with her family.

The Challenge
A small US-based digital creative firm - founded in the 1990s - has grown immensely and been bought up by a global marketing firm in the 2000s. They requested an evaluation of their initiatives to support the women in their team.
Our Ideas
Designing the intervention with the co-founder, whilst interviewing 5 employees across the floor. Thereby immersing "The Inner Office" (then Pixel Story Studio) in the company culture, including verbal and nonverbal observation. Joining a special event as a guest player for experience based design research.
The Outcome
The collaborative evaluation was welcome and critical to fill in blind spots. It was shared internally with relevant stakeholders to improve rapport. This evaluation built the critical trust for the next stage of designing a program - that includes diversity by design.
An interdisciplinary institute with a distributed and international team spotted the opportunity for impact by revamping their online presence. Their digital story needed less data, coherent tone & feel and an element of play.
The Inner Office* designed a program - a series of written articles - to illustrate how to better resonate with their audience. During a 3-month period, the institute and PSS exchanged in workshop style meetings on their more powerful & engaging online presence.
The outcome was a modern platform - showcasing the institute's portfolio and potential to make a difference on urban challenges with collaborative tools.
